The world as we know it would not exist without plants.
Appreciating that plants are the basis of all life is the foundation of Garden My Home.
Plants are nature's producers using sunlight to create their own food. And the by-product of all their foodmaking is oxygen. What an amazing piece of nature! Plants not only sustain us by providing food and oxygen, they produce fibers for materials, are used for medicines, and add beauty and inspiration. We have appreciation and passion for this, and there are hundreds of reasons why we love to garden.
The world is changing and we have a responsibility to make more sustainable decisions whether it is buying sustainable paper for our office or using efficient electric tools at your home. You can count on Garden My Home to be there for you and the environment.
Mission
Helping you get the most from every part of the garden, lawn, home & business.
Garden My Home uses environmentally sound practices with integrated techniques to create garden spaces that are fresh, full of beauty and enjoyable for years to come. We want to teach, plant and spend time with others that love plants as much as we do.
In a nut shell
Garden My Home is a business which serves parts of the western suburbs of Chicago. Our services pertain to the maintenance and planting of gardens and lawns, along with planting and care for container gardens of various sizes.
It all started as a business plan at the College of DuPage. An idea to bring to the community a business which wants to teach people, and get people to put their hands in some soil.
Gardening is not just a hobby, it is a way of life for most of the world. No one is too young or too old to share in these skills. When we take time to notice and cultivate small gardens, we become more mindful, happy and healthy.
We know gardens range from the cozy to the fantastic, and from the big to small. There is room for everyone. And when we take some time to understand how important it is to plant the Right Plant, in the Right Place, at the Right Time... our joy and fun will last.
We would love to hear from you. Send us any questions or comments, and tell us about your experiences gardening.
